• For golf-lovers there are different courses in the region:   the closest is Golf Club Cherasco with 18 holes, further the Golf Club I Girasoli in Carmagnola, the Golf Club La Margherita nearby Carmagnola, the Golf Club Margara direction Alessandria, a 36 holes cours

•  For hikers: there are 7 different trails around Monforte d’Alba that are also listed in a special brochure. In addition, there are many more trails in the entire Langhe region

• Piedmont, and especially the Langhe region are extremely well-known as the Mecca for cyclists, although (unlike Toscana), they lend themselves more to the well-trained athlete..

• Are you a jazz-lover? At 5 weekend in June/July you can enjoy international live jazz music in the historical town of Monforte, in a natural open-air amphitheater near the old church.

• Have you ever been to Turin? In less than an hour you will have reached the city. There are many convenient and well-signed underground parking garages available

• How about a day at the ocean?  Savona in Liguria is only 1 hour away. There are picturesque towns with beautiful scenery.

• On every day of the week (except Sundays) there are many markets to be visited in the region. The most popular one is in Alba on Saturday mornings. The largest market however, takes place in Cuneo every Tuesday and lasts the entire day.

• A particularly special event is always a visit to one of the numerous antique markets. The most famous takes place in Cherasco twice a year (in May and September).  The whole village acts as a backdrop with over 600 vendors displaying their wares.
